We have just recently finished “construction” on the baby’s room. We put in some new windows, added crown molding and chair rail courtesy of Ardalan, Bobby, and the fine folks at Rittenhouse Lumber. We painted the room a cream color, put in a new door and frame, bought two rugs but returned one, put up new blinds, and just recently got all of his furniture delivered (we don’t know if it’s a boy, but writing his or her every time is just too many letters).
Kelly’s baby showers are finished (she’s super depressed about it) with her 2nd and final shower in Brooklyn last weekend. She had two beautiful showers, was showered with lots of love and gifts, and we are so thankful for our parents and sisters who did so much to make her feel special and celebrate this great time in our lives. She will now be tasked with setting everything up, decorating, and asking the age old question, “Joe, do you like the lamp here, or here? Wait, here, or here? YOU’RE NOT LOOKING.” She is so excited about it, she can hardly contain herself.
Kelly has become very persistent with her requests for foot rubs, back rubs and neck rubs. And if she can’t think of the name of the place, but does indeed want it massaged, she just says, “rub right here.” Her cravings included everything from ice cream, to pickles, cinnamon-sugar pretzels with ranch dressing, and now she’s moved on to dairy in the form of milk….chocolate. Dark chocolate however, is not welcome. She loves the occasional water ice as well. She has the most adorable little belly and just looks amazing. Joe says this is the most attracted to her that he’s ever been. I can’t imagine why (it’s because her breasts are huge). Joe’s belly is also growing, however, for an entirely different reason.
Here is a picture of the nursery, before furniture:

The weekend of May 17th, the rest of the furniture arrived. Below are some pics of the nursery with the furniture.

Joe, that nursery furniture is exactly like my sister’s.
Beautiful stuff.
Fingers and toes crossed for a safe delivery.
