Week 25 – Part 2

Kelly and Kristin took a trip home to Pittsburgh this week to see their mom and spend some time at home.  During that weekend, Joe and Ardy stayed back to get some work done on the baby’s room.  Here is Kelly at the Children’s Museum in Pittsburgh.  Our nephew Ryan loves the Museum.  So they took him there to have some fun.  Kelly said it was pandemonium, but she had a really good time…..until some kid farted directly in her face.

Here’s another Bump picture at 25 Weeks:

Week 24 – Part 2

People say if you play classical music while your baby is still in the womb, they come out smarter.  Thinking back to my SAT score and me and Kelly’s dislike for school, we figured we could use all the help we can get.  So we got some headphones for Kelly to wear on her bump so we can play some music for the baby.  We started with Chopin and Mozart, but we made our way to Bon Iver, which is pretty soothing and baby friendly, and some more current choices.  I think I managed to sneak in something from DMX also. Charlotte joined Kelly and baby for some casual hangout time.  This is one my favorite pictures.  Kelly, Charlotte and baby at 24 Weeks:

Week 21

Not much new between weeks 20 and 21 so these will just be pictures for you to see her progress and her bump grow.  She’s starting to feel the baby now.  First it started as little flutters which she said can be confused with gas, but she knew it was the baby.  Kelly Belly at week 21:

Week 20

We kind of had a gap in pictures between weeks 10 and 20.  Mostly because we didn’t want to jinx ourselves and create the entire string of photos that we wouldn’t want to look at if something had happened.  So we took a break from that. Kelly was feeling much better and showing.  No more morning sickness, she started to get some of her energy back and our 20 week Ultrasound revealed 10 little fingers, 10 little toes, 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 little feet, a whole bunch of other baby parts, a smirking face, and we are assuming a penis or the absence of a penis.  We aren’t finding out the sex so we kept that a surprise.  No sign of Down Syndrome or any type of birth defect, but Kelly still needed to complete the blood test portion of the Sequential Screening to rule out Down Syndrome and other issues, routine stuff really.  All eventually came back normal and we were on our way. Here is the Kelly Belly (I’m calling it that from now on) at 20 weeks:

Week 19 – We Register

At week 19, we decided to go register.  Most people you talk to say it is a disaster and really stressful, but we actually had a great time.  We started kind of early, and we did it when we wanted to do it.  When we got overwhelmed, we took a break.  If it meant we had to go back another time, then we would go back (and we did, many times).  Here is Kelly around 19 weeks when we were out getting some registering done.

Week 19

Kelly and Kristin, Pregnant Together, Mass Hysteria

Kelly is Lucky enough to be pregnant at the same time as her sister, though Kristin is due about 6 weeks ahead of Kelly.  So you could imagine the fun they’ve been having.  We were all able to shop for our baby furniture together (we all bought the same furniture), shop for clothes, do lots of housework, and just enjoy this great time in our lives.  Here’s a picture of Kristin and Kelly on New Years Eve, Kelly is only about 11 weeks pregnant, so Kristin would probably be around 17 weeks or so.  I have another one of their bellies together, but there’s lots of skin, and stomach, and it would be uncomfortable for everyone who saw it, so I’ll defer to this one:
